DIGITAL Dual P233 with 64mb ram
Onboard s3 graphics, intel 10/100 nic
Adaptec aic-7880 SCSI interface

When I boot the Install cd with doscsi option, it will detect the aic7xxx scsi 
controller, but then hangs when it get to detecting aic7xxx_old

Happens with the latest revision of the v1.4 CD1 date 20030806

install sequence
gentoo doscsi
space for monitor
Then the system willl try to fin the scsi conroller, and hangs.

Moving these so we can remove the "Install CD" component from "Gentoo Linux".

I apologize to everyone for this spam, but according to the bugzilla developers,
this is the only reasonable way to do this.
