Emerge of dev-ruby/activesupport-2.3.4 fails during installation phase. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge -v1 activesupport Actual Results: here is excerpt from emerge output: * Installing for ruby18... Successfully installed activesupport-2.3.4 1 gem installed Installing ri documentation for activesupport-2.3.4... Installing RDoc documentation for activesupport-2.3.4... * Installing for ruby19... I have dev-ruby/rubygems-1.3.5 installed - as a portage package, not with`gem install rubygems`. It seems like the problem with previous versions, fixed by rubygems-1.3.3-gentoo.patch - unfortunately there is no patch for 1.3.5.
`emerge --info' and `emerge -pv rubygems ruby' please.

The emerge -pv ruby part was missing. On second thought, attach the "Package Settings" part of `emerge --info ruby' instead.

vetar ~ # gem19 --version 1.3.5
The gem version you get with ruby 1.9.1 is 1.3.1, you seem to have upgraded it. Remerging ruby 1.9 should fix that, but ymmw.
(In reply to comment #7) > The gem version you get with ruby 1.9.1 is 1.3.1, you seem to have upgraded it. > Remerging ruby 1.9 should fix that, but ymmw. Then there is something weird going on. I've reemerged ruby: vetar ~ # ruby -v ruby 1.9.1p243 (2009-07-16 revision 24175) [x86_64-linux] and gem19 still is: vetar ~ # gem19 -v 1.3.5 The file was substituted during install, checked that with stat. Any ideas what may be wrong?
