Description Dylan 2003-09-22 21:00:47 UTC
Invalid match between Xfig and fig2dev versions... Xfig can thus produce .fig
files that can't be exported by fig2dev. To see this, (I'm told by the
developer) place a jpg into the figure. The export will mess up, something about
a transparent image. This has been fixed, BUT requires that you have fig2dev
3.2.3d (the exporter) even though you have xfig 3.4.

So, a newer version of fig2dev is needed for the current xfig in portage. I
can't find which ebuild fig2dev is in, however.

Reproducible: Didn't try
Steps to Reproduce:

An upagrade of the fig2dev in portage to version 3.2.3d will fix this issue.

transfig provides fig2dev, and it's at 3.2.4 -- not sure what the problem is here

For some reason my portage indicated otherwise. Your observation is correct!
