Description Jeff 2009-11-20 18:05:00 UTC
I was trying to emerge dev-python/lxml-2.2.2 (for inkscape) and got build error shown below. I had dev-python/setuptools-0.6.4 previously installed. It seems dev-python/lxml-2.2.2 requires dev-python/setuptools>=0.6.5. However the ebuild does not require it.

Work around:
emerge =dev-python/setuptools-0.6.6; emerge dev-python/lxml

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge =dev-python/setuptools-0.6.4
2. emerge =dev-python/lxml-2.2.2
3.

Actual Results:
 * Building of dev-python/lxml-2.2.2 with Python 2.6...

Expected Results:
dev-python/lxml should have installed properly

0.6c5 means 0.6_rc5.
Only 0.6.4 might have a bug.
You should use 'emerge -uDN world'.
