Description Jan-Willem Liebezeit 2009-11-20 08:58:33 UTC
When trying to emerge sci-mathematics/octave-forge-linear-algebra-1.0.8 from the science overlay the dependency >sci-mathematics/octave-3.1.54 is only detected at emerge time, i.e. apparently not set correctly in the ebuild (actually from what I can tell with my limited experience, no dependencies are set at all, except for whatever comes from "INHERIT octave-forge").

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. unmask the relevant packages
2. emerge octave-forge-linear-algebra

Actual Results:
error: the following dependencies where unsatisfied:
   linear-algebra needs octave > 3.1.54

I'm using the science overlay because the current version of octave-forge in portage wants to pull in octave-2.1.73 which in turn fails to compile.

Unmasking and emerging octave-3.2.3 fixes the problem.
