Description Matthew Turnbull 2009-11-20 04:27:26 UTC
New ebuild for xf86-input-wacom-0.10.1

- Includes HAL fdi file (loads wacom driver insted of defaulting to evdev)

- Introduces device auto-hotplugging. A single driver instance initializes all available input types (stylus, eraser, cursor, etc..) provided by the tablet

- Added post-install info similar to xf86-input-synaptics

Reproducible: Always

Matthew,

Thanks very much for your ebuild. I've committed a slightly modified version into the tree.

It doesn't include the information about making a custom .fdi file. This is still experimental software, and I'd sooner have people come asking for help and be told to return to xorg-1.6 and linuxwacom, than have people writing their own fdi files, because they forget they exist and then cause us a lot of trouble when things change and their fdi file starts causing them problems. I hope this is understandable?

Otherwise your ebuild's been committed pretty much as-is, thanks again for your help (and your speedy work, the announcement for this only hit the linuxwacom list this morning!)... 5:)

Yeah, when I find a project I'm interested in, I kind of religiously watch the repositories.

Smart idea about omitting the fdi information, especially as none of the wacom project documentation has been updated yet.

Also, don't forget that the live ebuild in the X11 overlay needs to be updated.

Thanks, I recently got access and have now updated the live ebuild too. Thanks again for the ebuilds... 5:)
