I dunno how you would like to fix that but please at least mask the useflag.

Adding nixnut to CC as he is hardened team's PPC go-to-guy.  nixnut, know what the issue is here?

sure, vlc wants >=media-sound/pulseaudio-0.9.11 and that's masked in the powerpc hardened profiles. See hardened/ppc/package.mask and hardened/linux/powerpc/package.mask. If you look at the pulseaudio's Changelog you can see why that happened. As things moved on this masking was no longer necessary and the mask has been removed from the other profiles, but not from the powerpc hardened ones.
I've updated the two package.mask files.

Yup. Should be fixed now.
