I really like the gentoo install ISO since a lot of useful tools for RAID, LVM, Crypt (and even screen and vi ;-) ) are included. To make it even more useful, it would be great to have netcat and telnet included on the CD, too. Both programs are quite small and very useful when messing around with your network.

This argument has been done to death. The install/minimal CD contains just the tools needed for installation and nothing else.
