Description Marc Benstein 2009-11-13 19:53:26 UTC
I have svn tunneled through ssh on port 80

svn is working fine locally but when tunneled every command shows a killed by signal 15 error.

The process seems to work, but using an IDE it chokes due to the termination signal.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. svn co svn+ssh://XXXX

Actual Results:
svn up
At revision 6.
Killed by signal 15.

Expected Results:
svn up
At revision 6.

I am closing this since a recompile with Gentoo Hardened 3.4.6-r2 fixed the problem.
Comment 2 Marc Benstein 2009-11-13 21:07:48 UTC
Ok, I lied. svn+ssh is still sending a signal 15.
Comment 3 Justin Lecher (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-11-14 16:26:13 UTC
please attach
emerge --info,
emerge -vp openssh,
emerge -vp subversion
and reopen bug.

Comment 5 Justin Lecher (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-11-16 15:39:42 UTC
Assigning to maintainer, but I think it is harmless, as can be read here:
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=366391
Comment 6 Marc Benstein 2009-11-16 16:21:34 UTC
It's not harmless to applications that use subversion. For instance, netbeans chokes on the signal 15 and refuses to show any changes/updates.
Comment 7 Arfrever Frehtes Taifersar Arahesis (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-11-17 09:53:46 UTC
Can you reproduce this bug with Subversion 1.6.6?

> Can you reproduce this bug with Subversion 1.6.6?

Yes I can. It has the exact same behavior.
Comment 9 Marc Benstein 2009-11-19 16:44:23 UTC
The issue is noted here: http://subversion.tigris.org/ds/viewMessage.do?dsForumId=1065&dsMessageId=2414982

The reason I am seeing this bug is because I override $SVN_SSH on the client shell.

So if you add -q to SVN_SSH, then you aren't able to reproduce this bug?

That is correct. Also if you are the maintainer, 1.6.6 is working fine as well (with -q).

OK. I'm closing this bug.
