Description Tim Cera 2003-09-21 20:24:58 UTC
Without the /var/cache/man/catx directories the man command doesn't cache.

IMHO the catx directories should be created in the man ebuild. If the default Gentoo
behavoir is to have caching turned off, then use "NOCACHE" in /etc/man.conf.
Then in my case I could comment out "NOCACHE" and the directories would be
there.

The directories would be (section numbers/names from /etc/man.conf):
cat1
cat8
cat2
cat3
cat4
cat5
cat6
cat7
cat9
cattcl
catn
catl
catp
cato

kindest regards
tim
