Created attachment 209872 [details] output of "paludis -I app-cdr/cdrtools"
>>> Source prepared. Seems to work fine with the official package manager.
The error is in sed -i -e "/cc-config.sh/s/\$(C_ARCH:%64=%) \$(CCOM_DEF)/${tcCC} ${tcCC}/" \ rules1.top || die "sed rules1.top failed" since sed complains about a modifier it doesn't know, one of the variables probably contains a slash. looking at toolchain-funcs.eclass, tc-getCC calls tc-getPROG which uses type -p to get the path to your compiler. since that path contains a slash, the sed command ends up broken. Using another separator, e.g. s:...:...: should fix this.

(In reply to comment #3) tc-getPROG() contains: [[ -n ${search} ]] && prog=${search##*/} export ${var}=${prog} echo "${!var}" So all slashes are removed.
(In reply to comment #5) [01:00:30][omar] ~ $ export ${var}=${prog} -bash: export: `=': not a valid identifier and then the final command doesn't output anything
(In reply to comment #6) In this case ${var} has value "CC".
(In reply to comment #5) > (In reply to comment #3) > > tc-getPROG() contains: > > [[ -n ${search} ]] && prog=${search##*/} > > export ${var}=${prog} > echo "${!var}" > > So all slashes are removed. > if [[ -n ${!var} ]] ; then echo "${!var}" return 0 fi Comes before that. Maybe CC is set for some reason.
Reopen to assign bug.
I have committed an update which uses a different separator. Please wait until the changes have propagated to the mirrors and try again.
(In reply to comment #8) > (In reply to comment #5) > if [[ -n ${!var} ]] ; then > echo "${!var}" > return 0 > fi > > Comes before that. Maybe CC is set for some reason. CXX: /usr/lib/ccache/bin/g++ 4.4.2 So that seems to me that CXX is set to that value and hence contains the slash.
I assume this bug is fixed. Please reopen if there are still problems.
