I guess this is a GCC 4.3 compatibility issue cause I cant recompile my old Asterisk either. Maybe time for portage to use Asterisk-1.6 now?
This bug report is incomplete and as a result it can not be actioned. 1) emerge --info is missing 2) the build log output has been redacted, attach build.log as provided 3) Asterisk 1.6 is already in portage

This also happens in 1.2.37
Well, got bored of waiting so I switched to gcc-4.1 and it compiled fine as I thought in the first place.
Asterisk 1.2 has been removed from the portage tree. Please use, at your option, the 1.6.2 branch or the 1.8 branch of Asterisk. I can confirm that neither of them have this bug.
