Description Christophe 2009-11-09 18:37:41 UTC
When an archive (zip) file is opened, and you choose extract, the UI to select folder destination appears, but even if you want to extract in the current default location displayed, clicking Extract failed to extract the files (with no error message). You have to go back up one level and reselect the folder you came from to do so.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.open test.zip
2.click extract
3.click "Extract" in the UI destination folder

Actual Results:
Nothing happens if no folder is selected although the UI is showing the folder where the zip file is. Nothing happens, no error message.

Expected Results:
file-roller should use the default folder and extract data.

For ease of use, extraction to the same location as the archive should be possible with as little input required.
- double-click archive
- choose extract
- click Extract in the folder selection UI
Currently extraction to the current folder requires you to go up one level and select the folder you came from.

This is an old upstream problem:

This is a problem with GtkFileChooser, nothing we can do here...
