When gvim is launched without the -f ("foreground") option within the metacity-2.28.0 windows manager (e.g. by running it from gnome-terminal), the title bar of the window says "[No Name] GVIM (as superuser)", i.e. it thinks the program is being run as superuser when it is not. I guess this has something to do with gvim daemonizing itself when the -f option is absent. (Curiously, if you do happen to run it as a superuser, the title bar says "VIM" instead of "GVIM" but that's a separate issue.) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Running as a normal user, make sure the window manager is metacity-2.28.0. 2. Start a terminal. 3. Run 'gvim' and look at the title bar. Actual Results: The title bar is tagged "(as superuser)". This will need to be fixed by upstream as they have to decide if fix current support, drop it completely...
