Please consider sys-boot/syslinux-3.82-r1 for stabilization. Over the currently stable version 3.71, it has isohybrid support as major new feature. And bug 253113 is fixed in this revision. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
I'm using syslinux-3.83 on x86_64 w/o problems.
