Hi! I have made a Qt-based alternative to the KDE3 Basket: Basqet. This application dependes only on Qt 4.5 and will probably work fine on qt 4.6. Sources can be fetched from http://code.google.com/p/basqet/downloads/list. If there is anything I have to make further work on before it is suitable for portage, please let me know. Known issues in version 0.1.0 is that there is no make install, however a single binary is created to be copied into /usr/bin. Known issues in version 0.1.1 (to be released this or next week) is that qmake requires to be rerun adter building to recognize the binary and create a proper install-target in the make-file. A bug is reported to Qt: http://bugreports.qt.nokia.com/browse/QTBUG-5558 Reproducible: Always
x11-misc/basqet-0.1.0 is in tree since 4th of November. Enjoy :)
Wow! That was a fast response. Thank! I did expect it to take a few days and did an update to version 0.1.1 yesterday. The main changes are: * Iconify to system tray. * A whole lot of new tags and icons. * Fixed a spelling error. I renamed the source-tar to .tgz instead of .tar.gz, I have no problems to continue using .tar.gz although my plan was to keep with .tgz from now on. What is easiest from gentoo perspective? I an enhancement request the right way to inform you that there is an update of a software? Regards, Erik
