The TeVii S650 DVB-S2 USB box needs the firmware dvb-usb-dw2104.fw in /lib/firmware. TeVii offers the firmware under http://tevii.com/Tevii_linuxdriver_0815.rar. The firmware there is named dvb-usb-s650.fw, but can be renamed to dvb-usb-dw2104.fw.

Please add the firmware to linuxtv-dvb-firmware.

Is the firmware dvb-fe-cx24116.fw also needed or is it optional? Can you provide a log file from a booting kernel with dvb-usb-dw2104.fw only and one with the additional dvb-fe-cx24116.fw in /lib/firmware.

Just got the box today.
Yes, I need dvb-fe-cx24116.fw, too. I attached the part of dmesg, when I pluged in the box.

if TEVII download required please add 'app-arch/unrar' to dependencies in this case:

 * ERROR: media-tv/linuxtv-dvb-firmware-2009.09.19 failed:
 *   failure unpacking Tevii_linuxdriver_0815.rar

See bug #314671. Not sure if the patches still work.
