I run several stable systems, using KDE and intel video. The recent upgrade to KDE4 forces me to use an unstable driver >=xf86-video-intel-2.9.0 in order to make the system work, see bug #288346. KDE3.5 is about to be removed from portage, so I must soon upgrade all my systems to KDE4. 

Is it possible to stabilise a suitable driver, so that a stable KDE4 system can be built?

It'll be done as part of the next round of stabilizations, probably within a week or so, along with xorg-server 1.6.5.
