Description Andrzej Kardas 2009-11-03 12:25:54 UTC
hsfmodem-7.80.02.04 does not work with 2.6.31 kernels, there is an update of the driver witch solves the problem: hsfmodem-7.80.02.05.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge hsfmodem
2. hsfconfig
3 .with kernel 2.6.31 the hsfconfig freezes on updating modprobe.conf by hand

Expected Results:
with hsfmodem-7.80.02.05 everythink seems to be fine i manage to install it and run hsfconfig w/o any problem checked the modem connection and it worked.

I installed the driver just by changing the names of current ebuild and included gentoo patch to match current version. Everythink seem to install and configure fine with 2.6.31-tuxonice sources. So it's just a matter of submiting this trivial changes to the tree.
