Hi again! Attatched you'll find the ebuild for tcvp. TCVP is a modular player and encoder/transcoder for music and video. It's a promising player. I contacted one of the authors while writing this ebuild and he helped me a lot in fixing compiling/installing issues (and promptly released a new version ;)) The player has ffmpeg support (optional) but that would be ffmeg-cvs. I'm still trying to write an ebuild for ffmpeg-cvs but hopefully they'll release 0.4.8 soon. Tcvp will work without ffmpeg, just see tcvp.sf.net for details. Another dependency is tc2 (and thus tc2-modules and libtc), which you'll find in bugs #29140 and #29141. Have fun! Marc
Created attachment 17998 [details] Ebuild in a tarball Untar this into your ${PORTDIR_OVERLAY}/media-video. And again, it worked fine on my x86 and ~x86. Cheers, Marc.
Please re-attach as plain text. No need for digests, manifests, etc. I really appreciate all the ebuilds you've submitted but i'm begging you to stop attaching gzipped tar archives to bugs. Please!! j.
Created attachment 18307 [details] ebuild tcvp-0.1.1 Arrrgh! Ok ok, I apologize and promise to never do it again! I attatched the plain-text-ebuild (in the other bugs too). Thanks and have a good day! Marc.
New tcvp version 0.1.4. will ebuild be updated soon.
Of course I updated the ebuild on my machine the very same day, and those of libtc and tc2 too :) Unfortunately it won't build on my machines and I'm in contact with the authors to fix it. If you want to have the ebuilds I can mail them to you but I don't think it's a good idea to post non-working ebuilds here (that's why I skipped the other versions too). Cheers, Marc.
Created attachment 19982 [details] Latest Version Ok, this is the latest version of tcvp, works on my system but: You'll need a recent version of faac to compile it. See bug #31609 for an ebuild. Cheers, Marc.
Created attachment 21252 [details] Version .0.1.7 This is the latest version. Please see bugs #34320 and #34321 too. Still we need a recent version of faac. Cheers, Marc.
Well, tcvp-development seems to have stopped. Will keep an eye on this, closing for now.
Ha! And here's the new version.... in cvs.
Re-Opening this since it's not LATER anymore. We're going to re-close this with my fun modified ebuild (Added some much needed USE functionality and cleaned up the ebuilda bit).
Re-Opening from LATER to close as FIXED.
Chris did you forgot to close this one, then? :) I can see tcvp 0.2 on portage.
