I recently upgraded to Xorg-server 1.7.1 and nvidia-drivers wants me to downgrade, although, it compiled fine on xorg-server-1.7.1 after discarding the dependency.

(paludis ip --dl-deps-default discard nvidia-drivers)

Ebuild should not depend on <x11-base/xorg-server-1.6.99.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.paludis -ip everything

Actual Results:  
* x11-base/xorg-server [D 1.7.1 -> 1.6.3.901-r2]
    Reasons: *x11-drivers/nvidia-drivers-96.43.13:0::installed
    -debug -dmx hal ipv6 -kdrive -minimal nptl sdl -tslib xorg build_options: -optional_tests split strip -trace
