!!! One of the following packages is required to complete your request:
- dev-db/mysql-5.0.84-r1 (Change USE: +embedded -minimal)
(dependency required by "media-sound/amarok-2.2.0" [ebuild])
(dependency required by "world" [argument]

As of Amarok 2.2 remote MySQL backends are supported, which would allow "minimal".

It would allow minimal if you want to write a massive patch.

The amarok-9999 ebuild already has a use flag for enabling/disabling the embedded mysql server that takes advantage of the a config switch added to amarok in git tree.
We'll adjust amarok in the tree when upstream makes a release that adds the configure switch.
