Thanks for unmasking KDE 4.3.1! Full of enthusiasm, I pretended to upgrade my world (with kdepim-meta 3.10 or so). First attempt barfed because it wanted USE="sql", so I added that globally. Now it barfs because qt-sql wants mysql, even though I already have sqlite. I suspect the DEPENDS string "[sqlite,mysql]" was expected to mean one or t'other, but the ebuild docs says it means both, which looks overkill :-) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.see above 2. 3. Well pick one of those. in akonadi-server you have to pick implementation for backend. Mysql one can be relyable, sqlite is experimental. Just add to your /etc/portage/package.use line saying something like this: app-office/akonadi-server -mysql sqlite if you really really want sqlite. Reopen with "emerge -pvDt world" as attachment if it still wants to pull in mysql.
