You're obviously mixing stable and unstable packages. This is not a configuration we have the manpower to fix. Please either upgrade all your X stack to ~arch or go back to stable. FTR, we won't help you if you choose option 1 and things break. Thanks
Created attachment 208626 [details] grep -rH x11 /etc/portage sorry. portage gives no hints how to upgrade my system: s939 ~ # emerge -uDNpv world These are the packages that would be merged, in order: Calculating dependencies ... done! [ebuild U ] x11-drivers/xf86-video-intel-2.9.1 [2.9.0-r1] USE="dri -debug" 0 kB Total: 1 package (1 upgrade), Size of downloads: 0 kB all packages in my /etc/portage was suggested by portage to upgrade xcb and qt4. Now the something seems broken. I think you should adjust something in X dependency tree or suggest to me what should I do. for example, upgrading to xorg-server-1.6.5 is enough for me? or I should use autounmask for xorg-server-1.7.1? or something else again? these are question you should answer with precision.
sorry if I reopen the bug, but I need an answer again.
"Go back to stable" is my answer.
