Description Richard Cooper 2003-09-19 03:03:33 UTC
The patch for this problem given in Bug #19061 still breaks the bootsplash
kernel patch. The solution given in the Patch for the Patch has not been applied
to the Kernel sources as of gentoo-sources-2.4.20-r7. Can someone please apply
this patch so that us silent bootsplash users can use make menuconfig to change
the framebuffer size instead of manually having to patch the sources back to the
original values ??

Brian, another one for -r8?
Comment 2 Jason Cox (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-04-08 19:23:10 UTC
Is this still relevant? Has bootsplash been fixed with the later kernel versions for you? If not, I'm closing this one out.
Comment 3 Richard Cooper 2004-04-09 01:27:19 UTC
Seems to be fixed in the Later kernel releases (>2.6.0).
Thanks,
Richard.

Closing.
