I broke a working gentoo system with very current software. Downloaded the livecd and it would not connect wireless because the Frequency Kill Switch is on. 
 I was not able to correct it. Even though this morning with current drivers it was working.

Reproducible: Always

Are you still having this problem? 

If so, please provide more info. What version is your liveCD? What version is the kernel you're running now? Also, attach any kernel messages about the ipw2200, including the complaint about kill switch.
