I believe that vim-6.2.098-patches.tar.bz2 (VIM_ORG_PATCHES in the ebuild) is missing from portage. Looks like vim-6.2.069-gentoo-patches.tar.bz2 is also missing.
I'm having the same trouble. !!! Couldn't download vim-6.2.098-patches.tar.bz2. Aborting. On an emerge -U world: xerxes root # emerge -Up world These are the packages that I would merge, in order: Calculating world dependencies ...done! [ebuild U ] app-editors/gvim-6.2-r3 [6.2-r2]
Created attachment 17976 [details] Missing file I downloaded patches from ftp.vim.org and stored them in .tar.bz2 file as expected. Unfortunately, the MD5 digests do not match those in portage. If you want to upgrade now, download this file into your distfiles dir, remove the digest files gvim/files/digest-gvim-6.2-r3, vim/files/digest-vim-6.2-r3, vim-core/files/digest-vim-core-6.2-r4 Then rebuild the digests with ebuild /usr/portage/app-editors/gvim/gvim-6.2-r3.ebuild digest ebuild /usr/portage/app-editors/vim/vim-6.2-r3.ebuild digest ebuild /usr/portage/app-editors/vim-core/vim-core-6.2-r4.ebuild digest and finally emerge vim-core vim gvim

I believe this should be fixed now. Please retry.
Yep, it works for me now. Thanks!
Great, marking FIXED
This seems to be happenning again. The server doesn't have the file, and i have 20 mirrors added via mirrorselect. It appears that you either have to get the patch file back up there, or you have to mark vim-6.2-r5 stable. One of the two. In any case, -r3 isn't going to compile as things are now.
You're right. I don't know what the heck is happening. For some reason the files keep getting wiped off the master mirror. I'll let you know when it's figured out.
Okay, nevermind. The files are on the master server. It was due to my own misunderstanding that I thought they were disappearing. Let me know if you have any further problems.
