Description fredi 2009-10-24 13:57:39 UTC
From some time now after network changes (roaming ecc) i get a lot of this messages on syslog:

Oct 24 15:40:37 kotys pulseaudio[16469]: sap.c: sendmsg() failed: Invalid argument
Oct 24 15:42:22 kotys pulseaudio: Last message 'sap.c: sendmsg() fai' repeated 20 times, supressed by syslog-ng on kotys
Oct 24 15:42:22 kotys pulseaudio[16469]: sap.c: sendmsg() failed: Invalid argument
Oct 24 15:44:07 kotys pulseaudio: Last message 'sap.c: sendmsg() fai' repeated 20 times, supressed by syslog-ng on kotys
Oct 24 15:44:07 kotys pulseaudio[16469]: sap.c: sendmsg() failed: Invalid argument

Tried to pacmd list-modules but pacmd says it cant connect to pulseaudio. ps -efa | grep pulse tells me that the deamon (not systemwide) is running. Killing it it restarts and i dont get this logs anymore at last till my net connections change status again.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Change network connection, ifconfig eth0/wlan0/ecc down
2. tail -f /var/log/messages

Actual Results:
log spamming

Expected Results:
nothing

BTW, forgot to say that this issue or something very similar was reported before on ubuntu/launchpad, this is the link:

Comment 2 Sebastian Luther (few) 2009-10-29 20:53:46 UTC
"emerge --info pulseaudio" please.
Comment 3 fredi 2009-11-02 10:59:25 UTC
Sorry for not providing it when i opened the bug report. Though the same thing is happening from older versions too. Anyway emerge --info pulseaudio follows:

# emerge --info pulseaudio

Is this still reproducible with pulseaudio 0.9.22?
