Description ElWolfie 2003-09-17 23:25:39 UTC
Emerging mentioned package on latest Gentoo 1.4 and ~x86 completely shuts
down Mplayer sound output using sdl. When emerging any previous versions
sound works fine.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge sync; emerge libsdl
2. mplayer -ao sdl movie.avi

Actual Results:
No sound output from playing a movie in Mplayer

Expected Results:
Played sound

Talked to several other people. They verified this behaviour.

Sorry. Emerging any version but 1.2.5 and down works. No 1.2.6 version works

what version of mplayer
Comment 6 Mr. Bones. (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-09-28 00:23:57 UTC
I haven't seen any evidence of this on my system. I've been running 1.2.6-r1
now since it was put into portage with no problems with mplayer at all.
Comment 7 Mr. Bones. (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-10-02 16:44:43 UTC
Since I couldn't reproduce this and there hasn't been any more action on
it, I'll close it for now.
Comment 8 Mr. Bones. (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-11-02 23:55:22 UTC
No action for a month.
