The PEAR-PEAR maintainer splitted with 1.8.0 the original package up and thus changed/expanded its dependency tree. The following comments will contain the ported ebuilds that install and work just fine on ~x86- & ~x64-macos. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:

Sorry for the bugspam. BTW, perhaps this bugs summary can be updated to reflect that the dependency fixes are in portage?
