Description Jianwen Wei 2009-10-23 15:53:11 UTC
I have some non-Linux partitions mounted on my gentoo box with write permission. The /etc/fstab is something like:

/dev/sda1 /winfs/winxp	ntfs-3g	users,umask=000	0 0
/dev/sda14	/winfs/backup	vfat users,umask=000,iocharset=utf8,codepage=936 0 0

When I try to save a copy of PDF file viewed in acroread to one of these non-Linux partitions, I fail, told by the acroread that "You don't have permission to write to this file". But evince does NOT suffer from this problem.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open an arbitrary PDF file in acroread.
2. Save it as a copy to a FAT32/NTFS partitions on which you have write permission.

Actual Results:
Acroread denies to write to the file, saying "You don't have permission to write to this file".

Expected Results:
Acroread write to the file.

Sounds like upstream would be the better address for this issue.
