I re-synced my tree and it is building normally now as I type.

A quick cursory glance at the mirror I'm using, datapite.net (http://mirror.datapipe.net/gentoo/distfiles/), it appears that avidemux-2.5-r5396.tar.bz2 isn't on the mirror at all. Perhaps some lag the file propagating to the mirrors?
I mailed Ben de Groot, there must have been a glitch in the spacetime continuum and the file should be available soon. regards, Sebastian
