Trying to do the upgrade to KDE 4.3 (which is now stable on x86) forces the installation of this package. When I emerge, this package fails to compile, causing the entire KDE upgrade to fail. If there's something I need to remove beforehand, that would probably help things. - Unrelated note: GCC 4.1.x isn't supported with KDE4, upgrade your GCC first to at least 4.3.4, which is the current stable. - Related note: Missing sys-devel/gettext ?

What's weird is I was able to do an emerge -D kmail:4.3 and there was no gcc upgrade dependency. Oh well, guess I'll just recompile kde4 again :(
