Description Kai Krakow 2009-10-19 17:21:23 UTC
Please see the above URL: chromium segfaults when some extensions are installed due to a misassignment of ids to action buttons.

Request to bump version or include patch.

Thanks you. :-)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install some extensions (eg adblock, and delicious in my case)
2. Run chrome

Actual Results:
Chrome segfaults.

Expected Results:
Chrome should start with these installed extensions.

same here, I installed some extensions, upgraded and when tried to start chromium it segfaults.
I now tried to reemerge chromium and it fails

I suppose your build log is a complete different bug. You should post a seperate bug for that.

probably, however I managed to reemerge chromium successfully but still I get segfaults, I could try with no(less/default) flags if you want, cause I've set some(see emerge info above)

The segfault won't go away until the patch is included or the version bumped - no matter how often you re-emerge it. Wait for a dev to close this as fixed and it will be good. This is a bug in the source code of chromium.
Comment 6 Bernard Cafarelli gentoo-dev 2009-10-25 18:17:55 UTC
chromium-4.0.223.5 was added in tree on 20 October, and it does have the fix mentioned in the crbug bugreport

So everything should be done here :)
