Steps to reproduce: 1. Create a new document (or open one you might have). 2. File -> Document Properties (Ctrl+Shift+D). 3. Select "Page orientation: (x) Landscape". 4. File -> Print 4.1. Printing to a file will work fine. 4.2. Print preview will also work fine. 4.3. However, printing to an actual printer will print the landscape document in portrait orientation (i.e., non-rotated), cropping a portion of it and wasting paper (and time; and frustrating the user) Tested with media-gfx/inkscape-0.46-r5 It appears that this bug was fixed in 0.47 (can someone please confirm it?), but this version was not released yet. There is a patch for 0.46 at the launchpad bug page: https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/166678 I've not tested that patch, could someone please test and (if it works) add it to 0.46-r* ebuild?
media-gfx/inkscape-0.47 is in the tree now, if this is still an issue, please reopen this bug.
Just tested, and yes, it is fixed in 0.47.
