Comment 1 Bernard Cafarelli gentoo-dev 2009-10-26 09:26:20 UTC
When you say it fails to start download, nothing happens? In the download bar or in downloads pages (ctrl+j)

A few suggestions:
* Change the downloads destination folder, to your home folder for example (or check the option to always ask where to download)
* Try with a clean profile (move ~/.config/chromium away)
* Try with 4.0.223.5 (latest in-tree), downloads folder code still had problems recently, even though afaik downloads worked for me in 4.0.222.6
Comment 2 Jacob Swanson 2009-10-26 15:35:33 UTC
Just changing the download location fixed the issue, even if I changed it to the same folder it was currently set to. The problem didn't persist with the update to 4.0.223.5 either.
