Description Tim Harder gentoo-dev 2009-10-14 07:11:00 UTC
Mutt has had support for tokyocabinet since around version 1.5.19. See the attached patch for ebuild updates adding a tokyocabinet use flag and related configure flags.

Note that the patch makes tokyocabinet replace qdbm as the db with the highest priority in the ebuild since it is the successor to qdbm (as stated by the programmer of both dbms).

hi Tim, you patch looks ok to me. Thanks! Do you have any ideas on the role of qdbm since tokyocabinet is said to be its successor?

Not really, but it looks like it's becoming obsolete. If you're asking because you're considering removing the qdbm use flag and support in the ebuild, I'd say go for it. I'll redo my patch with that change if you want.

I guess as long as Gentoo keeps qdbm in the tree, I better leave it in, so your patch as is, is fine.

I added your patch, thanks!
