I recently installed kde 4.3.1 on my system and I'm trying to get compiz work with it using fusion-icon but if I set the window manager to compiz and the window decorator to kde4 I get windows without decorations. I have enabled window decoration plugins using ccsm. I cannot see any error message. Using kde3 or gtk+ window decorations seems to work. I'm using oxygen style (the default kde4 one). I really don't know if it is a kde bug, the same problem happens also if I choose kde4 window decorator in gnome with compiz running. So IMHO it should be a compiz related issue.
Any solution yet?

It seems somehow mine kde4-window-decorator is broken. To be more precise the window decorations are loaded (I can see blur and other things ) but the title bar not.
I found which is the problem : with Oxygen and Ozone window decorator kde4-window-decorator doesn't work! But if I choose the others it works. I selected it into System Settings->Look & Feel -> Windows -> Window Decoration .

Anyway it seems that compiz 0.8.4 fixes the issues with kde 4.3 as reported here : http://dev.compiz-fusion.org/~cornelius/2009/10/14/compiz-084/ There is already a bug that request bump to 0.8.4 : #289207
Since I think this issue is caused by compiz I added to cc desktop-effects@gentoo.org , I hope I've done the right thing.
This issue is fixed updating to compiz 0.8.4 (now in tree)

I don't know why, but the "Command" in ccsm->Effects->Window Decoration, wasn't set and left empty. I don't know why it happened, because I just imported ccsm settings from another compiz configuration, where that field was set. Flavio
