Gv4l would be a nice addition to portage since transcode made its place there long time ago and lots of people are using it to record from V4L devices. Gv4l makes the recording process easier and includes various features, such as scheduling recording (cron creation). I made an ebuild for it as well and it's available for download at Gv4l's page.

Created attachment 26493 [details] gv4l-2.2.2.ebuild ebuild for 2.2.2
Thank you for the ebuild. I have committed it to the tree. I am resolving this bug. I think that the package probably has a gtk or gnome dependency. If anyone wants to test out and narrow down what that is, that would be great (since I don't have time at the moment). Anyhow, it's noted in the ebuild in a comment.
>=gnome-base/libgnomeui-2.0 that is the missing depend also the debug use flag is useless might want to remove it from IUSE
Created attachment 29728 [details] The ebuild that's on gv4l.sf.net as well This is the ebuild that I posted on the gv4l site. I think I got all deps covered.
BTW 2.2.3 has been out for a while, mind doing a version bump ;)?
Okay, I bumped the revision.
