Description onip 2009-10-09 16:35:43 UTC
After resuming from suspension the system cannot detect battery presence, and so all of the battery saving settings are not applied. Besides that brightness up/down buttons are not functional anymore. 'down' is recognized by gnome but brightness stays at max level and 'up' event isn't even recognized.

Digging kernel bugs and acpi mailing lists I found this report ( http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13745 ) and manually applying changes proposed in comment #10 to my tuxonice-sources-2.6.30-tuxonice-r6 made acpi work fine again.
This patches are applied to kernel > 2.6.31 ( -git14 ) could you (or make kernel devs do it), please, backport those to .30 (and add those to portage) so that users in my same situation don't have to wait until .32 is included in portage?

Thanks

Asthis is not TuxOnIce specific issue such patches usually should go to genpatches. But in this case we already have 2.6.32 in the tree (both gentoo- and tuxoinice-sources) so you can use that.
