So, what is the issue? Opera 6.0 (final) is masked out, so the latest is 6.0_pre2-r4, that's correct. Maybe we should remove the older ebuilds, but am I missing something else?
no I guess not. I was just curious, because opera-static's 6.0 is unmasked.
Well, static-6.0 *works*, while dynamic -6.0 works for some people some of the time. ;^) There is a libpng problem, discussed in -dev mailing list lately. I'm quite sure that it also applies to the ebuilds predating 6.0 final. In a nutshell, opera requires that the version of qt2 installed on the system were linked against libpng-1.0.12, and I don't know how to specify this dependency without making qt-2 ebuild explicitely dependent on =libpng-1.0.12*. But even then it won't work for people who already have a version of qt2 that was linked against libpng-1.2.
I've updated comment in package.mask accordingly.
