Description Marcos 2009-10-05 12:28:08 UTC
The focus gets stuck in a widget sometimes. This seems to be similar to bug #282887 but it happens regardless CPU load. Killing the window remotely makes the focus to stuck in another one until it focus the root window when all windows had been killed. The GNOME panel became inacessible (I'm using gnome 2.24.3) and the only way to get the computer responsive again is killing and restarting the X server. Using apps from a remote login seems to not trigger the problem.
It happened with a machine with 2 monitors attached on it. I have another one, another AMD64 with just one monitor, which runs without problems.
I couldn't reproduce this bug accurately but I don't believe its a hardware problem because it started to happen just after the upgrade.

Reproducible: Sometimes

I'm using xorg-1.6.3.901-r2, gnome-2.24.3 and compiz-0.8.2-r3

I'm using nvidia-drivers-185.18.31.
Comment 2 Justin Lecher (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-10-09 09:12:05 UTC
Please try again with stable/other nvidia-driver to find out if the problem relies on this.
