xosd is a library to overlay text in X.
X On Screen Display
Also includes program osd_cat to cat on screen.
this package is split into xosd the library (this ebuild)
and xmms-xosd (seperate ebuild I'm going to submit shortly)
New USE variable = xosd (used by hotkeys, another ebuild I will submit shortly)
Suggested in x11-libs/xosd

Technically, this bug is the duplicate of bug 2571, and not the other way
around.  But since this version of the ebuild made it into the portage tree
sooner than the one, submitted by David Leal, I've marked but 2571 as a
duplicate of this one.

To Bass: Could you please have a look at the activity for the bug 2571 and see
whether some of the stuff can be used to improve the existing ebuild for xosd? 
Also, as I mentioned above, the patch, submitted by Stacey is absent from the
"files" subdirectory.

I've added the patch, but a new version is comming up.
