Confirmed it's a jpeg issue. Downgrading to 6.8-r* solves the issue for me. There should prolly be a proper dependency in the ebuild I guess.. Changed the bug title accrodingly. Cheers, Nico
There is postins message for jpeg explaining how one should proceed in order to have not broken system. If you didnt read/store it then just unmerge the compat lib and run this two commands as root: rm -rf /usr/lib/libjpeg.so.62* revdep-rebuild
