Description davidshen 2009-09-30 05:12:53 UTC
on my gentoo 2008 x86_64 system, i emerged crossdev, and use crossdev -t i686 to install the cross compiler for my x86 gentoo system. on my x86 gentoo system, i am using the latest stable gcc-4.3.2-r3, but the corss compiler gcc is 4.4.1 which is keyword masked.

i set this bug to 'major', because current behavior is different of what is said on http://en.gentoo-wiki.com/wiki/Crossdev. on that wiki page, it is clearly stated that crossdev will emerge the *latest stable version*

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.on a x86_64 system, emerge corssdev
2.crossdev -t i686
3.

Actual Results:
crossdev emerges the latest masked compiler and related tools

Expected Results:
crossdev emerges the latest stable compiler and related tools

i dont really care what external sites say about crossdev. if they're wrong, take it up with them.

if you want stable packages by default, then use the --stable option like the --help says.
