I can confirm that this bug exists (similar build system (x86_64, GLIBC 2.10, GCC 4.4 instead of 4.3.3). Exact same build error (libtool can't find libsoup-gnome-2.4.la).
should have been fixed in overlay, please reopen if it still does not work.
