Description [name redacted] 2003-09-14 06:10:36 UTC
I quote

To use any Gentoo Linux CD-based installation method, you will need to have a
486+ processor and ideally at least 64 Megabytes of RAM. (Gentoo Linux has
been successfully built with 64MB of RAM + 64MB of swap space, but the build
process is awfully slow under those conditions.)

-----
Starting a sentence with '(' isn't proper English afaik. I think you'd best of
by removing the complete sentence between ( ). If you rather not do this, the
sentence would be fine by just only removing ( ) and keep the sentence just as
is.
Comment 1 Sven Vermeulen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-09-14 06:29:06 UTC
It's a matter of taste really. The sentence in se doesn't need to be removed -- although it's not critical. However, it isn't that informative that it shouldn't be "commented" (by using the braces).

Having sentences in braces does occur frequently, although it usually has several of them inside (as in "(Sentence 1. Sentence 2. etc.)").

I'll wark this as WONTFIX because I don't think it hurts to leave it as is. In a future rewrite this will probably disappear anyway.

Also, we don't want to give the translation teams too much work :)
