Not sure when this broke, but the stable version of digikam (0.9.4) doesn't seem to be able to see the stable kipi-plugins (0.1.7). There is nothing under "Batch" or "Export" and under Settings->Kipi Plugins it says "0 Kipi plugins found". Also says it's using "Kipi library 0.1.5" which seems wrong. I've tried re-emerging both media-gfx/digikam and media-plugins/kipi-plugins (twice). If you want KDE3 version, please try =digikam-0.9.5-r1, which is about to go stable in bug 287980. The version 0.9.4 is discouraged and removed soon as possible.
And 0.9.5-r1 is now stable (bug 287980).
