So what, it is expected. You should keep the same version of everything.
Do you really think we should forbid you by default by introducing sh**load of blockers?
Comment 4 aidar 2009-09-23 20:04:31 UTC
how do I get it back so it is working ?
Comment 5 Tomáš Chvátal (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-09-23 20:22:20 UTC
emerge -1 --nodeps =kdelibs-4.3.1 or something like that

hello, I think I have messed up environmental vars and the cmake modules that relate to kde.

in /etc/env.d/ I don't have any file that sets KDEDIRS or sth...
and every package, that is more core to KDE fails to compile and install although the kdelibs can be successfully emerged...

I need my pc running - can't do anything now.
Comment 7 Maciej Mrozowski gentoo-dev 2009-09-25 04:11:55 UTC
KDEDIRS is no longer set nor required.

Ensure you have kdelibs:4.3.1 (or -r1, doesn't matter, pick the latest) if you want KDE-4.3.1, then preferably reemerge all KDE packages you have (you can use @kde* sets for this). If you encounter any issues, please search for answers on forums.gentoo.org and post your problem there (along with emerge --info and partial build log).

I'm closing this bug because it's a consequence of unsupported actions (and even prevented on package dependency level) + mixing portage stuff with bleeding edge from overlay.
