Description Martin von Gagern 2009-09-23 14:48:35 UTC
I've been running a world update, including an update of KDE. It seems some dependency of KDE failed to build. In the consequence, I got a HUGE number of E-Mails (as I've configured elog to send mails) of the following form:

emerge --keep-going: <group>/<package>-<version> dropped due to unsatisfied
dependency.

These messages managed to keep my mail delivery system (including procmail, spamassassin, and so on) busy for several minutes, with messages arriving roughly every second or so. That's extremely annoying and of little practical use.

I would have preferred a SINGLE mail mentioning all the dropped packages. So it would be great if there were a way to collect these messages into a single message. I have to concede that I don't know what the subject of this message should be, as giving a single package name isn't easy. I personally wouldn't care too much about the package name in the subject line, so any choice is fine with me.

Oh, for the record: I'm using portage-2.2_rc41.
